Wake up...we are all ONE IN GOD.

WELCOME

Welcome to the web site of Kathleen A. Murray, an advocate for interfaith peace, cooperation, respect, and understanding.  Please explore this web site to view Kathleen's personal philosophy and vision for what each of us, individually, and collectively, can do to promote the higher consciousness of  humanity in the realization that each of us is connected in our divinity as Children of God.  Acknowledging this truth, we inherently recognize we are all ONE IN GOD regardless of faith or cultural identity.

THE INVITATION

The world is at a critical juncture and we are witnessing a tidal wave of change in the age of instant communication.   We have polarizing forces at work which are creating international turmoil.  These forces are environmental, economic, religious, and political in nature.  Everyday we are witnesses to the consequences of  fear based mentality.  War, starvation, poverty, greed, gun violence, all kinds of abuse, terrorism, failing policies, exploitation of natural resources, a disregard for human rights and welfare, and unresponsive and ineffective governments.

The forces that are creating so much chaos in the world are relentless.  To help balance this energy I am creating this web site.  It is my intention to provide a global  resource for all individuals interested in promoting a higher consciousness which recognizes that we are all Divinely connected.

We consciously get to choose, moment by moment, how we want to "BE".  We can choose to BE in a disconnect or we can be awakened to our connectedness and create a force for positive change.  It is this consciousness of connectedness that, I believe, will be our redemption and salvation as THE human race.

I invite you to take a stand in creating the critical mass that will by necessity change the world we live in.  Imagine yourself as a drop of water which joins with others in the formation of a stream.  The stream merges with others as it gathers into a river.  The river picks up speed and rushes to a basin.  The basin becomes an ocean.  Critical mass is achieved.  The power of one.  You can be that "one".

Quote by Randall Krause, guest blogger of Project Interfaith:

"It is common to think of ourselves as different from others, and all too often, religion becomes one more way to separate ourselves from others rather than bringing us together.  Yet, it doesn't have to be that way.  Our religion, our spirituality, can be a unifying force that helps us include others and celebrate the diviersity of all people.  It just takes a change of perspective.

Underneath all of our beliefs, cultural differences and identities, we all share the same humanity, the same love, and the same being.  When we connect from these more essential aspects of ourselves, we connect with all people.

So how do we do this?  It's easy.  All we have to do is what is natural for us.  Perhaps not for our EGOS, but rather for what's more essential within us.  We open our heart; we feel the needs and pain of others; and act from love to ease their pain.  Doing so is as natural as breathing.

This heart driven loving action can take many forms:  Feeding the hungry; educating those whom education would lift; helping and serving our elders; visiting the sick; and so on.

This loving action is a form of worship, and it brings us together.

Love underlies ALL of our religions.  Though the words may differ in our prayer books, all true religions exalt love, and when we are motivated by this essential force, we come together spiritually, and make the world better."

VISION

I envision a world  of all cultures, nationalities, race, ethnicities, religions, sexual orientation, and political beliefs shaking off the cloak of extremism and intolerance to co-create an environment that fosters dialogue, compromise, and cooperation in solving worldwide issues.

I foresee a time when the combined voices of the "people" heralds in a resounding call for a paradigm shift from one of "separateness"  to one of a higher consciousness which recognizes and acts upon the belief that what we do to others, we ultimately do to ourselves.  We recognize that, indeed, we are a global community and the destruction wrought by divisive sectarianism and cultural beliefs can be transformed for the common good through spiritual transformation.

We understand that together we can accomplish more than if we are divided.  We recognize there is one God but many paths to enlightenment.  We do not sit in judgement of one another but seek understanding and a state of Grace.  Our vision of the Divine, despite diverse faiths and beliefs, is the common denominator that binds us together in our humanity.

ACTION STEPS

Does any of this resonate with you?  Are you tired of the violence and rhetoric?  Want to take a stand to make a difference in our world and the lives of the oppressed?  Want to "show up" in LIFE on a larger stage?   Are YOU ready to play?

Here are several suggestions to consider:

Contact your government representatives in support of the ARAB SPRING.  Insist upon
    international pressure to stop the slaughter of those fighting for human rights and dignity
.
*  Contact your local interfaith organization and get involved.
*  If your local religious affiliate is not associated with an interfaith organization, suggest it to the governing
    body and be willing to support the effort.
*  Speak up when you are witness to hateful language or behavior.  It is not funny.  It is hurtful and damaging.
*  Do not  allow the perpetuation of stereotypes.
*  Visit  a different faith based organization.  Many are conducting community outreach events.
*  Vet your candidates carefully.   Be certain of  whom is representing YOU.
*  Re-visit your core beliefs and adjust accordingly.  Educate yourself and don't buy into group consciousness.
*  Recycle and reuse.  Reduce consumption.
*  Conserve energy.
*  Reduce your dependence on oil and petroleum products.
*  Volunteer!
*  Teach your children well about morals, ethics, different cultures, and tolerance.
*  Don't tolerate the drug culture.
*  Be responsible for your children and accountable for their behavior.  Do not make excuses.  It is
    disempowering to you and them.
*  Donate to causes that strive to improve the human condition.
*  Use your social networks in a positive way.  Let others know what you are doing to be a "change maker".
*  Let your voice be heard.  YOU do make a difference and can create a ripple effect.
*  Invest in socially responsible companies.
*  Buy locally.  It reduces transportation costs and supports the local economy.
*  Start a garden.  Plant a tree.  Clean up a beach, a river  bank, a trail, or your neighborhood.
*  Write an editorial to your local newspaper encouraging others to take a stand for social justice and human
   rights.
*  Report abuse.
*  Stop bullying.
*  Help someone in need.
*  Let others know they are loved.
*  Forgive.  It is the greatest gift you can give yourself.
